To Christian Members of a BGLO - Mack Major

Warning: Do NOT Read This If You Are A Christian Member of a BGLO - and don't want to feel any conviction! Proceed and read at your own risk.

The reason why some of you cannot grow your churches or your ministries is because you first need to renounce your oaths and your memberships in the BGLO's that you joined. BGLO stands for Black Greek Letter Organizations, better known as:

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity,
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity,
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity,
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity,
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority,
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority,
Iota Phi Theta Fraternity,

God will not share His glory with any other god: and those frats and sororities are built on various Greco-Egyptian-Roman gods and deities that no sane Christian has any business being associated with. God refuses to share the stage with something that Jesus Christ came to eradicate!

When you attempt to serve Jesus Christ as a member of a Pan-Hellenic organization, you are in essence taking the deal Satan offered Jesus when He was in the wilderness. Read it for yourself in Matthew 4:1-11. That story is loaded with so many principles for the believer; but I only have time to share a few.

Satan offered Jesus the world and all of its glory, provided Jesus did one simple thing: bow to Satan. It was a sweet deal when you think about it. Satan acknowledged that Jesus came here to take over the nations and governments of the world along with the people and riches of those nations. He knew that was Christ's main goal and mission.

So he offered Jesus a sweet deal: bow the knee to Satan in private - leaving Satan in place as the true undercover secret head over everything - and Satan would allow Jesus to rule publicly without anyone attempting to stop Him. He would be the hidden power behind Jesus' success.

Everyone would publicly serve and worship Christ, never knowing that Christ had secretly bowed to the devil.

This was a sweet deal because Jesus wouldn't need to suffer or die to obtain His goal of winning the world. No blood would be shed; no payment made in pain, thorns, whips and agony. Just a peaceful transfer of power with Satan quietly pulling the strings in the background. Jesus would get the glory of the world, and Satan would get to stay in power.

This was also interesting because this wouldn't have been a temptation for Jesus at all unless the devil was actually able to deliver on this bargain. Which means some success can indeed come from Satan - and not from God. Christians need to be aware of this.

But it usually comes by means of making a compromise of Godly principles for the fast route to success offered by the devil. Which exposes another hidden principle:

The thing God sent you into this world to have and to obtain, and that will bring Him the most glory - Satan will usually offer you a fast route counterfeit to it. But it won't be what God ultimately had in mind for you. And Satan's counterfeit will always end up destroying you. We'll delve into that some more another time.

Thanks be to God that Jesus left the Devil's deal on the table and told Satan 'No deal - I'll see YOU on the battlefield!'

But I worry that my Christian BGLO brethren and sisters have decided to take Satan up on that offer. They've chosen to mix Greek and Egyptian gods with Jesus Christ - something that the church council of Jerusalem strictly forbade. And then expect Christ to bless their undertakings in life.

"Don't team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14

Jesus said that HE is the Light of the world - not your BGLO! "Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

Whatever benefits you think you might be getting from BGLO membership can never replace the blessings, spiritual power and closer walk with God you're missing out on in exchange for that membership.

Whatever misplaced sense of identity, desire for empowerment, family or internal emotional lack you felt can only be replaced by association with Jesus Christ and as members of His spiritual body. Putting it differently:

The Church is supposed to be your sorority and your fraternity - both the corporate body of believers as well as your local church. And your fellow Christians are supposed to be your brothers and sisters. No secular group or organization is ever to take that place in your life.

Your first and only allegiance is to Jesus Christ and to His family; so what are you doing fellowshipping with others who don't acknowledge Christ as their savior, haven't confessed Him as their Lord, who still engage in lifestyles of sin that offends God - yet you claim they're you're brothers and sisters?

Please point me to that Bible chapter and verse!

Maybe the reason why your church won't grow, your marriage has as many problems as it has, your career has stalled or your business has stagnated is simply because you've made a joint venture with Christ AND those demons that masquerade as the icons and mascots of your frat or sorority.

You know: Minerva, Anubis, Horus, Isis and them...

Maybe the reason why your own personal walk with Christ seems stuck is because you need to make a choice. It's not Jesus and your BGLO - it's Jesus OR your BGLO. What if you can't have both and you literally have to choose one?

Which would you choose? Would it be your frat brothers and sorority sisters and the benefits of being members - or will it be Jesus Christ?

"Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:14-15
