Does the masonic order enhance or hinder the walk of a believer? A. Harper Lindsay Sr.

The masonic order has its stronghold within the political arena, as well as within the local body of believers (churches). There are many bishops, pastors, deacons and other leaders of the local assembly who embrace this organization. Does membership with this organization enhance or hinders the walk of a true believer?

The Lodges teach that "a good Mason" is heaven bound - whether he is a member of the Lord's church or not, or even if he does or does not believe the teachings of Christ. The Bible teaches that only through Christ can salvation be obtained (Acts 4:12). "Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. (Ephesians 3:21)." Christians are not to be "entangled in the affairs of this life (II Timothy 2:4)." God gave us "all things necessary" but He did not give us Masonry. Therefore, it is a sin for a Christian to become "entangled" in the religion of the Masonic Lodge. I. D. Byars
