Membership in Freemasonry and Greek Lettered Organizations Is Sinful

By: Minister Charles A. Johnson III

Thinking About Pledging?  READ THIS!

Joining a Greek fraternity or sorority has long been a part of the social norm for college students nationwide.  In fact, a lot of individuals come to college their freshman year knowing which frat or sorority they want to pledge before even knowing what field of study they want to major in!

Most individuals never question this practice, partially because they have a long family tradition of legacies in the fraternal orders or maybe they think, "so many people are doing it, so it can't be wrong."  Whatever the reasoning, participation in these organizations frequently occurs and fascination with fraternities and sororities is very evident.

Such is also the case with Freemasonry.  Masons have been credited with doing a lot of good in society.  The Shriners have built hospitals for the sick and terminally ill, shelters, and have contributed so many other good deeds in public service that they would put many churches to shame.

I have nothing against doing good, however, just because good is done does not mean God approves of the vehicle doing the good.  I know drug dealers and gangsters that provide financial stability for their families.

Now financial stability for families is good!  But just because good is done, does not mean that God approves of the vehicle doing the good.

God surely does not approve of drug dealers and gangsters.  Now I am not saying that drug dealers and gangsters are akin to being in a fraternity or sorority, so don’t misunderstand me.  I am only trying to make my point that just because good is done, does not mean that God approves of the vehicle doing the good.

Many professing Christians are involved in these orders.  The effort of this pamphlet is to provoke thought in professing Christians concerning this issue.  Should you, as a Christian, be involved in such organizations?  I’m sure you asked yourself this question before you pledged if you are in an order already.  So I am asking you to ask yourself this question again.

The target audience of this pamphlet is those who have not pledged and are wondering about it.  This pamphlet seeks to provide you with ‘insider’ information that I deem necessary for you to know in order to make an intelligent decision.  All of us can agree that in order for it to be an intelligent decision, it must be an informed decision with facts considered.

I, as a minister of God, have a duty to provide professing Christians with as much information as I can in regards to their spirituality.  Now you may be thinking, ‘What does joining these orders have to do with my spirituality?’  Keep reading, you will see.  I believe that you should have access to as many of the facts as possible before making a decision.

The secret orders disagree with me here.  They believe that you don’t need all the facts before making a decision on whether or not to join their fraternities or sororities.  I know this because you don’t get all the facts until AFTER you become a member of these organizations.  This is why these organizations are sometimes referred to as ‘secret societies.’  Friends, it is too late to decide whether or not you want to join an organization AFTER you have already become a member.  You have already joined!

This is particularly unfair to Christians who have to take caution how they proceed spiritually.  How can you evaluate organizations that you are thinking about joining which have confidential manuals you cannot read until AFTER you choose to become a member?  This strips the Christian of the ability to make a completely informed decision, and thus gives the Adversary all the room that he needs to set a trap.

However Christian, I am here to help you.  I am sent by the Lord Jesus Christ to be a guide.  I wish to provide you with some of the information contained in these confidential manuals.  This way, you can make your own decision about pledging with more of the facts.  This privileged information will be compared with Scripture to see if it passes God’s test.  If the evidence demonstrates that it does not, then you have your answer.  Do not pledge, and if you have already pledged, disaffiliate yourself with anything that does not pass God’s test.  God’s test is by Scripture alone.

That said, this pamphlet will seek to prove beyond any reasonable doubt of the logical mind that these ‘secret societies’ are not of God, that they are not ‘Christian organizations’ as some claim to be, and that they are not to be partaken of by any Christian because they violate many Scriptural principles which Christians are commanded to follow.  Before I begin my presentation, know that I am always open to receive your comments, answer your questions, consider your dissent, etc.  Just use the contact information on this website anytime (UPDATED 2005).  Now reader, open the Scriptures and simultaneously open your mind.  Come let us reason together.

The Swearing of Oaths

The first point that I would like to make here concerns the swearing of oaths.  This is a practice required by all these fraternities and sororities as a pre-requisite prior to initiation.  Let us now read the Scriptures…

But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: 35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. 36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

(Jesus Christ in Matthew 5:34-37 KJV)

Now read the Word of God in another place…

But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.”

(James the Apostle in James 5:12 KJV)

From reading the Word of God in the above two sacred texts, it can be plainly understood that Christians are not to swear oaths at all.  Their communication is to be ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and not more than this.  Swearing an oath is to go further than your ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and bind yourself by something you deem greater.  This is clearly forbidden by the above texts.  Now to go to the extreme and swear upon God’s Name or by God at all demonstrates either willful disobedience of these texts or ignorance concerning the meaning of them.  Now we will investigate the clandestine testimony of the orders to see how portions of the ritual compare with the Scriptures.

A Sorority's Oath

For an example, I have inserted the Charge and Pledge of Allegiance to be repeated by candidates for membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  The following exert is taken from THE OFFICIAL RITUAL OF GRAND CHAPTER OF DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY INCORPORATED and is confidential to the membership of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.  Ironically, on the first pages of this confidential manual in the National President's Message, it states that Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is FOUNDED ON CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES.  Is this claim true?  Well, this portion that comes from their own confidential manual will be supplied to you for your scrutiny, and determine for yourself.  An exert from this oath reads as follows:

"I, ___________, do solemnly promise in the presence of the Eternal Spirit of Truth and these finite witnesses, that I will uphold my sacred vow and pledge to Delta Sigma Theta, ever mindful that membership in Delta Sigma Theta is a lifetime commitment…"  (p. 72).

The Masonic Oath

For another example, I have inserted the oath of a Master Mason, to be repeated by the candidate for Master Mason, the third and highest degree in the Masonic Blue lodge.  Also included with this vow are the first two vows that one must take for the first two degrees, first degree entered apprentice and second degree fellow-craft.

For the sake of space, the three oaths will be combined together.  The Masonic lodge is admitted by some to be the "Father of all Frats," and boldly claims Biblical affiliation.  Let us see if our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ condones a Christian being affiliated with the Masonic lodge and approves of the rituals and practices of the Craft.  Here are exerts from these heinous oaths.  I must advise that you take heed before reading further, because the content is gory and graphic.

"All this I most solemnly and sincerely promise and swear with a firm and steadfast resolution, to keep and perform the same without any equivocation, mental reservation or secret evasion of mind whatsoever, binding myself under a no less penalty than that of having my throat cut across, my tongue torn out by its roots (1st degree), my left breast torn open, my heart plucked out (2nd degree), my body severed in twain, my bowels taken from thence and burned to ashes (3rd degree) should I ever knowingly violate this my solemn obligation as an Entered Apprentice Mason, a Fellow Craft Mason, a Master Mason"

(Taken from the confidential manual by Ronayne, Edmond.  Handbook of Freemasonry, 1943. Chicago: Powner Co. 1973).

Is this Christian?  No, this practice is undoubtedly of the Devil.  Swearing an oath giving permission to defile and destroy the body, which is supposed to be the temple of the Holy Ghost! (1 Corinthians 3:16-19)  Dear reader, such blasphemy and disregard for the Words of Jesus Christ and the Apostle should be shunned, forsaken, and renounced by any who profess Christianity.  The Scripture also speaks on this wise, when it says ‘Let every one that names the Name of Christ depart from iniquity (2 Timothy 2:19 KJV).’

Would Jesus Christ approve of such a heinous blood oath?

A Mason may say to you that those words are "just symbolic."  Although history has not always verified their account, because several who have left the Lodge and/or turned against it have turned up ‘missing,’ this statement being “just symbolic” doesn't matter.  The Bible teaches that EVERY IDLE WORD THAT MEN SHALL SPEAK, THEY SHALL GIVE ACCOUNT OF IN THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT!

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

(Jesus Christ in Matthew 12:36-37 KJV)

Heinous blood oaths such as these mentioned above are also taken to gain membership in the female branches of Freemasonry.  These include, among others, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Heroines of Jericho.  These will be discussed in more detail by contacting me personally by my contact information supplied on this website, because I have access to other confidential manuals that are not discussed here.

Hazing

The pledging process often involves hazing.  Hazing that is physical in nature has been reported against these organizations for decades.  These cases have been settled in and out of court and in some cases not settled or solved at all.  Most times the members of the orders attempt of cover up and conceal these happenings.

This hazing of the physical type could include, but is by no means limited to, punching, kicking, hitting with objects, paddling, choking, forcing to drink large quantities of alcohol and/or doing drugs, forcing unwanted sexual engagement, etc.  Several pledges have died over the years due to injuries incurred while trying to join the orders.

The most under reported aspect of hazing is psychological in nature.  ‘Proving yourself’ to the society by allowing the members to use and abuse you psychologically is just as wrong as allowing the members to use and abuse you physically.  Unfortunately, many endure the psychological hazing because they don’t equate it with the physical hazing.  Christians however, should see no difference.  Enduring bitterness, profanity, and other means of psychological abuse at the hands of sinners for the sake of entering any of their societies should not be tolerated by any Christian and should be an immediate sign that the Lord is not in this process and does not approve.

Some of the members in these orders deny that hazing takes place.  These individuals are intentionally deceitful and are not interested in the Truth.  These would say anything to cast the order in the best possible light, which is part of the ‘loyalty’ they expressed before God when they swore their oaths.  So such an answer should not be trusted.  If they are honest, they will admit that hazing does take place and has been a part of initiation into fraternal orders since their founding.

Now some of the members will say that they themselves were not hit, and it depends on where you pledge as to whether or not physical hazing takes place.  I don’t doubt that this can be sincere, but what about the psychological hazing?  It is no less hazing than physical hazing, and for Christians to submit themselves to psychological hazing is no less wrong than for Christians to submit themselves to physical hazing.

Keep in mind reader that just because the members deny it doesn’t mean that it does not happen.  Many of these individuals will lie and intentionally skew the Truth in order to preserve the reputation of their order.  I have had many professing Christians come to me in counsel and confess that their Greek lettered fraternity or sorority hazed them.  Several of these were in tears and torments.  Many of these did not even make the ‘cut,’ and got beat for nothing and endured the mind games for nothing!

Let me now say this to members of fraternal orders who haze God’s People, whether it is physical abuse or mental abuse.  God is going to judge you who physically harm that which belongs to Him!  God is going to judge you who psychologically harm, harass, and torment that which belongs to Him!

May the Lord have mercy on you when you are judged!

You think that what you have done is hidden?  No, I tell you, no indeed!  For the eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good (Proverbs 15:3 KJV).

Jesus can and will expose you.  He said that there is nothing hid that shall not be known (Luke 12:2 KJV).

Therefore whatever you have spoken in the darkness shall be heard in the light, and whatever you have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops (Luke 12:3 KJV).  If you are hazing (physically or psychologically) any pledge and especially a Christian pledge, you need to repent now and forsake that wickedness.

This hazing is not ‘officially endorsed’ by ‘national headquarters,’ but yet allowed to continue on the majority of college campuses.  It must be reported!  It must stop!

Many souls are hurting because of this hazing madness.  I can tell you this, brotherhood and sisterhood is not supposed to feel like that.  Many of the victims are afraid to come forward, but a few brave souls are demanding that these organizations be held accountable.  God will judge.

Sponsoring Revelry

This issue is especially relevant for the Greek lettered fraternities and sororities, and less so concerning Freemasons and like orders.  Let us read the Scripture in Galatians 5:19-21 and ‘wild parties’ (Revelry) are our focus sin in the text.  This sin is sponsored and condoned by these organizations.  Now realize that ‘wild parties’ are wrong to be sponsored by any organization, but an order claiming to be founded on Christian principles is blatantly contradicting its professed foundation by sponsoring ‘wild parties.’

“When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results: sexual immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, 20idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong except those in your own little group, 21envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.”

(Paul the Apostle in Galatians 5:19-21 NLT)

This Scripture is plain that ‘wild parties’ (Revelry) are sin.  Most in the orders already realize that they are doing wrong by engaging in such activities.  My call is for Christians not to affiliate themselves with organizations sponsoring and condoning such activity.  This activity goes against the principles of Christian standards set up in the Word of God in Scriptures like we have read above.  Then the irony comes when these same organizations that sponsor revelry also sponsor church gatherings!

I challenged a young lady in a sorority about this exact issue.  I asked her that if her Pastor rented out a club and sponsored revelry would she still attend that church or would she try to find another one with a better Christian standard.  She told me that she would immediately leave that congregation and find another one that had a better Christian standard.

My statement to her was that she should then hold all organizations that claim to be founded on Christian principles and/or be Christian organizations to the same judgment.  She was a professing Christian and had pledged an order that claimed to be founded on Christian principles.  However, this same order was sponsoring and condoning revelry.  Just as she said that she would find another congregation that had a better Christian standard in the case of the church, she should find another organization that had a better Christian standard in the case of the organization.

Greek Paganism

The pagan Greeks believed in a number of deities, both male and female.  These deities allegedly bestowed unto humankind various traits, virtues, talents, and many other kinds of ideals and knowledge.  These also represented elements in nature.  They of course had other purposes as well.  Many of these deities had their own respective religious cults that followed specific rituals to honor, worship, and sacrifice to their particular gods or goddesses.

Many of these deities became known by what they gave humans.  Thus you have Mars the god of war, Venus the goddess of love, Minerva the goddess of wisdom, Apollo the god of the light, youth, and music, etc.

So believe it or not, my next point of dissent has to do with the making of images of other gods!  Yes indeed, other gods!  You read right!  In a missionary journey of the Apostle Paul and his companion Barnabas, recorded in Acts 14:8-18, some Greek gentiles attempted to sacrifice unto Paul and Barnabas.  An impotent man was healed by the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul and the Greek gentiles attempted to make sacrifice unto Paul and Barnabas, thinking that their gods had come down unto them in human form.

These Gentiles frequently sacrificed to their Greek deities, as well as other Gentiles affiliated with their own false religious systems did all over the world.  The "priest of Jupiter," which is the Roman name for the chief Greek deity Zeus, would have done this sacrifice until Paul stopped them and preached unto them the true and living God.  As a result, in verse 19, some antichrist Jews easily persuaded the crowd and Paul is stoned.

That same Apostle Paul, under the influence of the Holy Spirit, writes in 1 Corinthians 10:20 that,

"But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils."

All deities that are not the true and living God are devils.  There are innumerable evil spirits, or devils, manifesting unto us in many forms of temptation and false religion.  They are very evident in polytheistic religious practice.  Satan and his devils want acknowledgment and/or worship, and Satan is called the "god of this world" (2 Corinthians 4:3-4).  All Greek gods and goddess, as well as those of other false and idolatrous religious systems, are DEVILS by Christian definition!  The Greek pantheon is a list of devils!

The Goddess Minerva (Pallas Athena)

The following exert is taken from THE OFFICIAL RITUAL OF GRAND CHAPTER OF DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY INCORPORATED, and is confidential to the membership of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.  In Appendix A, the General Information section of the confidential manual on page 175 discusses the Sorority Emblem.  It reads as follows...

"The Sorority Emblem:  The Sorority emblem is the Goddess Minerva (Pallas Athena), Goddess of Wisdom" (p. 175).

An emblem is a representation that functions as the symbol of something, according to the definition of the word emblem.  On the emblem of this sorority (visible on some of their shirts or other paraphernalia), is a woman’s head.  This woman’s head is the very image of the goddess Minerva, the Greek goddess of wisdom!

However, in this minister’s estimation, an organization that claims to be founded on Christian principles is not wise at all when they place the image of another god as the emblem of their organization.  How hypocritical is it for an organization claiming to be founded on Christian principles to take the image of another god and have that image represent their organization?  That is taking a devil to represent something that is supposed to have a foundation in Christ.

Minerva is a devil, by the Biblical definition.  What fellowship should Christians have with an organization bearing the image of a goddess, which according to the Scriptures is a devil?  Then this organization claims to be based on Christian principles.  The True God hates the image of another god.  There are also other portions of their confidential manual that explain clandestine rituals named after this goddess.

As for the other Greek lettered fraternities and sororities, their confidential manuals likely also contain this Greek paganism.  So do not assume by any means that Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is alone in this practice.  The other groups’ confidential manuals likely will also contain references to the gods and goddesses of the Greek pantheon, which is nothing more than a list of devils worshipped by the Greeks of old time in their ritual abominations of religion.

The mere presence of this paganism should be a sure sign that these organizations are not Christian and any Christian affiliated with these should disaffiliate.

The mere presence of this paganism should weaken any organization’s argument that they are based on Christian principles.  This is because any organization based on Christian principles will separate themselves from the things that our Lord God hates.  And if our Lord God hates anything, it is the image of another god.

The very image of another god is an abomination before the Lord our God.  When God hears you claim that your sorority is ‘founded upon Christian principles,’ and then God looks at your shield and sees the image of another god, God knows that you are a hypocrite and all the world should too.

Miscellaneous Issues

"Our founders were well aware of the need to transfuse the ideals of Greek moral virtues with the later concepts of brotherhood and love.  This is why they clearly wrote: 'We are a sisterhood founded on Christian principles..."

(Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, INC., GRAND CHAPTER, CANDIDATE SYLLABUS, 1990, p. 30)

Why did these ladies feel the need to 'transfuse' Greek moral virtues with Christianity?  This is a clever deception.  The word 'transfuse' literally means to pour out of one vessel into another, like a blood 'transfusion.'  They attempted to pour Greek moral virtues into the later concepts of brotherhood and love, with Christianity being specifically implied here as 'brotherhood and love.'  Are brotherhood and love truly 'later' concepts, with Greek moral virtues pre-dating them?

Christianity mixed with anything is a falsehood, especially Greek 'moral' virtues.  The Roman Catholic Church mixed the Christian doctrine of the Godhead as found in the Sacred Scriptures with Greek Philosophy, and came out with the Trinity Doctrine, which has damned many souls.  The 'moral' of that story is, that we should not mix the Faith with anything 'Greek.'  The 'moral' virtues of the Greeks definitely don't measure up to the Church's moral standards in Scripture anyway.

I would hardly call Greek society, with all of their polytheistic myths, philosophies, and attitudes, 'virtuous.'  On the contrary, Greek society was very pagan, full of revelry and fornication (Spiritually and naturally), and therefore very demonic.  The devil used this system to seduce the world.

"The most direct line of descent from Greek societies to America is the Freemasons (called Masons).  Historians of American fraternities and sororities trace most of our rituals, ceremonies and rites to the Masons.  An examination of Masonic rituals open to the scholars suggest that our Founders were also influenced by Masonic ritual, symbolism and initiation experiences."

(Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, INC., GRAND CHAPTER, CANDIDATE SYLLABUS, 1990, p. 30)

Now I personally can verify this.  I have Masonic rituals, the Heroines of Jericho, and the Order of the Eastern Star.  Since I have read the entire DST ritual and have it in my possession, I can easily see the Masonic influence.  Freemasonry manifests the very power of Satan in this world.  The name of Jesus is even BANNED in the Lodge.

This is so not to offend Masonic 'brothers' of other religious beliefs, because Freemasons allow for alternate religions from Christianity to be equally recognized by the Lodge.  The only requirement to join is that you must believe in 'some' higher power.

Which god that you believe in is not important.  Then you end up calling someone your 'brother' or 'sister' (frater or soror) which worships a different god and has a different faith from Jesus Christ and the Apostolic Faith!  The Word of God elaborates on this topic of being unequally yoked together with unbelievers in II Corinthians 6:14-18, and commands us not to do so.  We are warned against being in such fellowship.

Now for a little 'Q and A...'
"Question: What is the ultimate goal, then?

Answer: Wisdom!  The college educated woman seeks to become wise rather than smart.  That is why Minerva, the Goddess of Wisdom, is our Sorority mentor."

(Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, INC., GRAND CHAPTER, MEMBERSHIP INTAKE PROGRAM, 1990, p. 106)

Do I even need to elaborate on why that is evil?  Is Minerva truly their mentor, as 'college educated women' seeking wisdom as the ultimate goal?

All wisdom comes from God.  If anyone lacks wisdom, then let them ask of God.  God is the giver of wisdom, not Minerva, who is a devil and an idol.  The 'college educated woman' seeking wisdom should look to the God of Israel as the mentor and not Minerva, a false whore goddess of the Greeks.

James 1:5 - If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

The mentor of Delta Sigma Theta is the goddess Minerva, the image of a woman seen on the shield of their sorority.  This false whore goddess is allegedly the giver of wisdom, according to the Greek myths.

"We believe in a spiritual life, but we leave to the individual the selection of the medium for its outward manifestation."

(Quote from the National President at that time)

(Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, INC., GRAND CHAPTER, Ritual, 1990, p. 30)

Now would 'Christian principle' agree with the above statement?  No, of course it would not!  There is only ONE legitimate medium for the 'outward manifestation' of spiritual life, and that is Jesus Christ and the Apostolic Faith based upon the Apostolic Doctrine (Acts 2:42).  Anything other than that ONE, is on the wide road to hell (John 14:6).

"A woman who becomes a Candidate is under the shadow of Minerva, and in no way could we offend one who is under her grace!"

(Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, INC., GRAND CHAPTER, CANDIDATE SYLLABUS, 1990, p. 38)

What about being under the 'shadow of the Most High?'  What about being under the grace of Jesus?  Have these sorority sisters replaced the true God with a false whore goddess named Minerva in these descriptions?

Psalms 91:1 - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Ephesians 1:7 - In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his (Jesus Christ's) grace;

Must the Christian be under the shadow of the Almighty, and also under the shadow of Minerva, a devil and an idol?  Must the Christian be under the grace of Jesus Christ, and also under the grace of Minerva, a devil and an idol?  Does not our God refuse to give His glory to another (Isaiah 42:8)?

Now before the "it's just symbolic" card can be played, think about what is being symbolized here.  Under the shadow and grace of a devil and an idol!  Now is Jesus pleased with this paganism, regardless of whether or not it is intended to be 'literal' or 'symbolic?'  Having it be 'just symbolic' is just the devil's attempt to get it 'glossed over' and 'accepted.'   Watch out for the 'just symbolic' excuse.  Ask yourself one simple question.
‘Should such blasphemous and sacrilegious messages even be symbolized' by an organization claiming to be 'founded on Christian principles?'

I find it very sad that the ladies who founded this sorority DST allegedly 'upon Christian principles' did not even have the Spiritual discernment to see that Jesus was not pleased with them making the image of an idol to represent the sorority.  This is because Jesus hates the image of another god.

Masonic Teaching About ‘God’

Freemasonry teaches doctrine about ‘God,’ whom they refer to as the GAOTU (Grand Architect Of The Universe).  Yet they claim boldly that they are not a religion, but merely a fraternity.  I believe that the evidence will demonstrate Freemasonry to be a ‘fraternal religion,’ and the religion that this fraternity teaches is definitely not the Christian religion.  I believe the religion of the Masons is a false religion when compared to the Bible.

Masons invite all religious systems under one banner with their organization, dogmatically proclaiming that all religions worship and are praying to the same God.  There are ‘Christian’ Lodges, Muslim Lodges, and Lodges of all the other religions who have Masonic accreditation.

According to the Bible, the final authority on whether or not something possesses Truth, such a proclamation is proven to be a falsehood.

In Isaiah 43:11 and 44:6-8, the Most High makes it clear that there is no other God or Savior other than He Himself.  In Isaiah 44:8, the Most High, the God of Israel, dogmatically proclaims…

"Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have I not told thee from that time, and have declared?  Ye are even my witnesses.  Is there a God beside me?  Yea, there is no God; I know not any."

There is one thing that the Most High, the God of the Bible, does not know.  That is, the God of Israel does not know another god.  This means that all the other religions’ gods are false gods and devils.  The Greek pantheon is a list of the names of devils.  The god of the Lodge is a devil, a god with a generic acronym (GAOTU) as a name, which is supposed to represent all the gods of those who have membership in the Masonic Lodge, whoever or whatever they personally believe their God to be.

Dear reader, do not be deceived by false doctrines, creeds, traditions, and organizations teaching unscriptural rhetoric; yet at the same time calling themselves and their practices "Christian."  I call all Christians to reject this falsehood if you are affiliated, and don't pledge if you are thinking about becoming initiated.  Light has no fellowship with darkness as the Word says.

Conclusion

In conclusion of this pamphlet, it is the sincere desire of this minister that what was written here has at least led your mind to question the things you do and involve yourself in as a Christian.  The Scriptures tell us that we are not our own, but are bought with a price.  Therefore we must glorify God in our bodies.  (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV)  Our entire body and soul are to be used to the glory of God through the instruction and direction of His Spirit indwelling us.  Sin is to have no part of our lives, whether it involves a literal or symbolic manifestation.  Sin is not your friend.

This is why we as Christians must take caution when involving ourselves in something, evaluating it as to whether or not God is pleased with our decision.  We should question self and our actions and motives to see if these are in line with the principles which Jesus Christ directed us to live by in His Word.  I leave you with the Apostle’s Word.

“Try to find out what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, rebuke and expose them.”
